city immersion

__2005-01-09 @ 12:09 p.m._______ Tim and I hung out last nite, playing acoustic guitars and a little poker. Nice to have someone else around besides the old folk. Today, the job for my car is to behave during the cold drive up to the city. I need to get an alignment very soon, but I can't notice any unusual tire wear so I think I should be fine. I like the fact that when I drive into the city now, I don't have to take 88 or for that matter any toll roads. Of course, when I hung out with Chad over my stay in Iowa City he gave me 500 burned cds to rummage through...so there's no shortage of new music for the car ride. The new Paul Westerberg is pretty cool (although the name totally sucks- Folker? What?) and the Japanese Matthew Sweet release is really good (first song is quite amazing). Thanks to Nick to emailing me his favorite song of the '04...yes, it's quite good my friend. Might check out a couple of places tomorrow for living quarters in the city. We'll see how long I last there...hopefully more than a year but who knows where life will take me. << | >>
