vacation after the vacation

ahem, the love for the blog got tired and had to wait until I was less busy/tired. I loved this past weekend. I got to do things that I've been meaning to do for awhile now and did it with enthusiastic friends! I'm pretty convinced that Kathleen and Adam had a good enough time here to all but move their asses to the bay permanently. Which I wouldn't mind, fyi. But as it is, I still enjoyed their company greatly and look forward to seeing them again in about a month. Actually, I look forward to seeing everyone in about a month! It'll go by so quickly...but I still can't wait.

Besides what's listed under "nowplaying," I've been digging the latest Kool Keith record and I downloaded the album Second Nature from the group All Natural from Chicago. Also, I've been furiously reading This Boy's Life by Tobias Wolfe, and I'm just pretty much in love with it. When I heard what it was about (and, no, I haven't seen the movie- which is great- I don't have Hollywood actors running around my head as the characters make every move), I thought I would be bored to all hell. I almost cried on the train to work the other day while reading it, and I was only on page 15 at the time!

Short note- this will be the first Thanksgiving EVER that I have been away from my family- Jill and I are trying to make our own little feast, and we'll try thanking people by using the satellite signals our hands will attempt to direct and then thank ourselves and then watch an amazing movie that I just bought and then sleep in our cozy, yet charming little apartment above the gay bar.
cheers and godspeed to all!
