Fahrenheit 9/11 is not a movie that you shouldn't go see

hi. I am now permanently in Ottawa...for about a week and a half. Then, I'm never coming back. Ever. Kidding. Let me just say that if you are one of those people who think that getting mad at someone for leaving or just kind of ignoring the fact that it is happening or just figure they were never really that important anyways, so it's not really that big of a deal. Two things- the cuteness wears off really quickly and selfishness starts to become outrageously annoying and damaging. Got it? Good. Now lets have a good time before I never see any of you fucking people again. wink, wink. I've figured it out- I might just die out there and then you'll feel really bad for being such a selfish bastard.

Really, really cool thing is happening this weekend. I'm getting together with all of my old college friends (ok, three of them) and band mates, and having a reuniting of sorts with alto heceta songs. We're not doing it to play a show or start writing songs for a new album or anything...we're just doing it to have some fun. The last time I was on stage with any of these people was at our last show in January of 2003. And while it won't be a "sharing of the stage," it will be nice to kind of jam on the old songs, drink some beers, make fun of ourselves a bit I guess. If you want to see some old pics that should bring back some old memories, go to the site and click on the individual shows.

I've been listening to quite a lot of Rufus Wainwright (Poses), Morrissey's You Are the Quarry, and the new Guided By Voices album, Half Smiles of the Decomposed. Reading has been kind of slow, as I've started to read about a half a dozen books. It isn't that they don't interest me enough, it's more about my availability and the book's availability. The one that seems to be sticking is Jay McInerney's Bright Lights, Big City. That's all I got!
