Excuse me while I tend to my fucking personal facial faucet

__2004-04-30 @ 8:58 p.m._______

I have a faucet for a nose right now. It drips randomly, inexplicably and is just a thrilling experience all together. It tests my ability to find inventive ways to cope with this disgusting cold feature on the drop of a dime. It’s quite interesting while I’m in public, with my worn out wet tissue (which three minutes into its use starts to look like something I found on the ground), as I fumble around gasping in frustration. I think it might be the worst feature of any given cold. But then again, it might be a combo of allergies and a cold. Either way, it’s obviously exactly what I want to spend my weekend dealing with. Why not? I love dripping faucets. I think if it persists through tomorrow I’ll kill myself. I might put together the allergy tourniquet by the end of the weekend.

Looks like Nolan might be playing a couple of shows next weekend (last minute additions). I will also be playing with the Stumblebums as an additional guitar player for a couple shows this spring. I would like to do more stand in/auxiliary musician roles. I just don’t get to do it as often as I would like. Maybe I need more experience so people can see me as that type of player.

Also, I have obtained an advanced copy of Pedro the Lion’s Achilles Heel. David Bazan is probably one of my favorite songwriters of all time and it is so nice to see him continue to write good stuff. This album is not a concept album for once and I’m pretty happy that it isn’t. It would have been pretty hard for him to top Control. Highlights include “Bands with Managers,” “Transcontinental,” “A Simple Plan,” and “Start Without Me.” Check out the Achilles Heel website here. You can stream most of the record there and see for yourself. In addition to Mike Kinsella, Josh Rouse, Ben Gibbard, Robert Pollard, Evan Dando, and Billy Corgan, Bazan can write some of best rock/pop songs ever. I’ll argue with anyone about that.
